Servicing
It is vitally important that you keep your bike well maintained. A well maintained bike performs at its best and is a pleasure to ride and also ensures that your components last longer.
At AA Cycles, we would encourage all Central Coast riders to learn at least how to change their inner tube in case of a puncture whilst out riding. Out of course not everyone has the space, time, tools or ability to carry out all the work on their bike!
Thankfully the workshop at AA Cycles is totally equipped to carry out all necessary repairs and has a fully-qualified mechanic instore. Our mechanic is Motor Transport Authority trained to ensure that we maintain our high standards.
AA Cycles will book your bicycle in and advise you of the cost of any work you have specified. If our mechanics notice something significant during the course of their work, they will call you to advise you and ensure that you want any extra work carried out.
Due to limited storage space, we do require that your bike is collected within one day of service being completed. AA Cycles can open outside of trading hours to give you the opportunity to drop off or collect your bike before or after work (by appointment only.)
First Service Free of Charge
During the first few weeks of riding your new BMX, mountain bike, road racer, family or kids bike around the Central Coast, some parts of your bicycle can work their way loose and out of alignment. This can lead to the bike performing sub-optimally - leading to undue wear. For this reason AA Cycles offers a complimentary first service on all new bikes sold. This service should be carried out between in the first month of riding - dependent on riding use, of course.
Frequency of Servicing
In addition to your first free service we offer two main categories of service. A Stage 1 service is a general check-over for your bike and is recommended to be carried out every 3-9 months dependent on use. A Stage 2 service is a complete overhaul and involves stripping your bike down to the frame and its components. This is recommended to be carried out every 12-18 months dependent on use.
Suspension Servicing
If your bike has either front or rear suspension fitted then it is vitally important that you also have this serviced regularly. Suspension units should be serviced every 3-12 months to ensure they work optimally.
Other Servicing
In addition to the free service, stage services and suspension servicing we offer a full range of other servicing – from building a wheel to repairing a puncture or fitting a light set.
